upgrade/ changed
did the 3.3 upgrade for the site, and worked out where I was being dumb, and had turned off catchpa...
also added a few "features" to the site - one of which is that you can make off-site recommendations for reading - I know there are a few authors that don't want to put their stuff on an archive like this, or doesn't quite fit into our "ship" and these can be added to recommendations, if you so wish.
you can also now browse through the author list for those of us that have signed up as beta's - if you haven't ticked the option in your profile, please do!!

fake accounts
I've noticed over the last week or so that our userbase was expanding at a very quick rate, about 5 users a day - I suspect that all of these were sign ups by bots, as the email addresses were non-descript AND the bio only tended to contain one word.
I don't kknow if these bots were sending out emails to you guys, creating spam - i certainly hope not.
I'm about to head over to the efiction site, and probably update the site to the latest version in an attempt to prevent this from happening.
If I have deleated anyones account in error - I'm sorry, it was unitentional - I just figured that 35 / 40 potential spam creating accounts were best to be deleated!!

You're stuck with the site for another 3 years!! Even if you guys all hate WeeVer by next week!!
I've just had a REALLY good deal on renewing the domain name - but I had to renew it for 3 years, so you guys have a little "security" knowing your stuck with this place for another 3 years!! *grin*
So, you've got 3 years... can you manage to write some great WeeVer in that time? Sure you can!!
